1 Skovgaard Museet
is the art museum in Viborg.
It houses works by the Skovgaard
family as well as changing art
exhibitions.
2 Viborg Cathedral
with its two towers, is the
symbol of the city. The church
was founded in the 1100’s but
after several 昀椀res, the latest one
in 1726, only the crypt remains
from this period. The remainder
of the cathedral has been rebuilt
several times.
3 Latinerhaven
Take a walk in Latinerhaven in
the middle of Viborg and smell the
many different 昀氀owers and herbs.
Originally in 1726 the garden was
a 昀椀re site and later on from 1760
it became the garden belonging to
the headmaster of the grammar
school.
4 Hjultorvet
is an old city square. Originally
a graveyard, belonging to one of
the old catholic monasteries in
the medieval Viborg.
5 Nytorv
One of the town squares in
Viborg. During the Middle Ages
the catholic monastery Sct. Hans
was located on the square. The
remains of its cemetery is still to
be found 2 feet under the tiles.

Das Skovgaard Museum
ist das Kunstmuseum in
Viborg. Es beherbergt Werke der
Künstlerfamilie Skovgaard sowie
wechselnde Kunstausstellungen.
Der Viborger Dom
wurde in der Zeit von 11201180 erbaut. Der Dom ist insgesamt drei Mal größeren Bränden
zum Opfer gefallen.
Der Latinerhaven
Garten war in 1726 ursprünglich eine Brandstätte, und wurde
im Jahre 1760 zum Garten des
Rektors der Lateinschule.
Hjultorvet
Ein alter Stadtplatz in Viborg.
Im Mittelalter war er ein Friedhof
unter einer von der vielen katholischen Klöster der Stadt.
Nytorv
Einer von Viborgs Stadtplätzen. Während des Mittelalters
lag hier das katholische Kloster
Sct. Hans. Die Reste des Friedhofs
liegen noch etwa 0,5 Meter under
den heutigen Fliesen.
